Ronnie Nile Harris

Ronnie Nile Harris, age 64, of Florida, formerly of Bainbridge, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his residence in Cross City, Florida. He was born in Obetz, Ohio on November 8, 1954 to the late Everett Harris and Martha (Eckhart) Harris. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Harris; father-in-law, Freddie Waters; mother-in-law, Eudora E. Waters; brother-in-law’s: Jack Root, Doug Waters and Freddie “Eddie” Waters Jr. Ronnie retired from Knauff Brothers Logging after 25 years of working as a diesel mechanic, truck driver and a heavy equipment operator. He was a jack of all trades. He loved his Chihuahuas: Ralph, Katie and Deeks. (Ralph and Katie preceded him in death.) Ronnie was a practical joker, amazing cook and woodworker. He loved going to flea markets and yard sales every weekend. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Ann (Waters) Harris; daughter, Christine Harris; son, Joseph (Jennifer) Harris; sisters, Janet Root of Obetz, Ohio and Connie (Charlie) Hart of Canal Winchester, Ohio; grandchildren: Kayla Crabtree (Princess Snowflake), Kara, Miranda and Aaliyah Harris and Elizabeth Breitenbach; great grandchildren: Aiden, Macie and Zoe; brother-in-law’s, Roger (Nancy) Waters Sr. and Daryl Waters; sister-in-laws, Cindy Waters, of Wellston, Ohio, and Linda Harris, of Piketon, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Sunday, July 21st, 2019 at 11AM with Elder Amos Moore officiating. Burial to follow at Campcreek Cemetery in Lucasville, Ohio. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 20th from 4-8PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson.
