Melinda K. White, age 43, passed away at her residence on Saturday, March 22, 2014. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on August 24, 1970 to Clarence (Julie) Gillenwater and the late Diane Salyers Gillenwater. She is survived by her husband, James White; Son James White II; Daughter: Sabra White; Brothers: Mike (Ann) Gillenwater, Paul (Emma) Stevens and Kevin (Susie) Stevens; Sisters: Patty (Randy) Hammond, Vicky Laney, Garnet Keaton, Joney (Gavin) Gilbert, Susie (Mike) Trisel and Connie (Bryon) Chapman. Melinda loved to hunt; was a member of the "Jackson County Bow Hunters Club" and a member of Laborers Local 83 in Portsmouth. Friends may call at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday, March 25, from 4 – 8 P.M., where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jim Salyers officiating.
