Jack D. Parks Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jack D. Parks, age 86, of Ray, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 @ Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born May 10, 1936 in Jackson County, Ohio to the late Orville and Nellie(Rodgers) Parks. Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by brothers Charlie, Don, Joe, Fred and Thomas Parks, a sister Deloris (Sis) Parks and Great Granddaughter Nevaeh Riffle. Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janet (Darlene) Parks, 5 children Clark Parks, Tracy (Eric) Ousley, Sherri Colley (Ron) Russell, David "Banty" Fisher and Stacy (John) Waugh. 8 Grandchildren Beth (Shad) Hill, Courtney (Brian) Williams, Matthew Tonya) Riffle, Christopher Riffle, Shane (Judy) Riffle, Amanda Fisher, Erica (Rudy) Oiler, and Jonathan (Shasta) Waugh. 15 Great Grandchildren Adrianna Hill, Kaitlin Hill, Brayden Hill, Jaiden Ousley, Aliyah Ousley, Cayden Ousley, Rylan Ousley, Liam Williams, Cassidy Riffle, Shane Riffle Jr., Emma Riffle, Brian Fisher, Mariah Fisher, Kalina Waugh, Madison Waugh and Jackson Waugh. 3 Great Great Grandchildren Bentley Hill, Zoie Hill, Sophia Skages and unborn Great Great Grandson Kaysen Eric Davis. 2 Sisters Judith Sickles and Leona Wallin, and a brother Loren "Butch" Parks. A very special friend of many years, Dale Cutlip. Jack was well known and well loved by many who knew him from being the caretaker and President of the Board of Trustees of the Farmer Sportsman Club for the past 50 years and Jack was known as the face of the Farmer Sportsman Fish Booth in Jackson and the man who could Fry fish like no other. Jack fried fish for the Wilkesville Fire Department Fish Fry for many years. He worked at Cross and Sons Farm Equipment and delivered farm equipment for many years. He will be missed by so many, especially his family. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastors Roger Parks and Richard Moore officiating with burial to follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9PM Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the funeral home as well as 2 hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 12PM-2PM.
