Jaclyn Alana Causey

Jaclyn Alana Causey, age 26 was born on November 22, 1997 to Lance Alan and Jaclyn Michelle (Cosby) Causey. She passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio on October 7, 2024, with her parents, sisters, and Aunt Suzanne by her side. Due to having her mother's first name, family and friends called her "Alana". Alana has fought with medical disabilities since birth. Despite these disabilities, she persevered and lived a fulfilled life. Alana attended Jackson High School where she met her very best friend Samantha Scott, and they graduated in May 2016. While in high school, she played in the band and was on the track team where she participated in Shot-Put and Discus. Also at this age, she loved to babysit. In order to pursue a career in Culinary, Alana decided to attend the Buckeye Hills Career Center during her Junior and Senior years of High School where she received a Certificate of Program Completion for Culinary Prep. She then went on to Hocking College to continue her Culinary classes. Alana was a very dedicated employee at Bellisio Foods for eight years. She lived a single and independent life, so she was always available to help family and friends when in need. Alana was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fairley and Paulette Causey; great grandparents, Douglas (Pete) and Hester Cosby and Verna Smith; one aunt, Anitra Marlena Causey; three uncles, Paul David Causey, Brent Causey and Robert Cosby. Also, an uncle and aunt whom she called grandpa and grandma: Clifford and Janet Causey and their son, Brandon Causey. Jaclyn Alana leaves to mourn: Her parents, Lance and Jackie Causey; two sisters, Anitra Causey (and Josh Malone, best brother-in-law) and Brianna Causey; step-nephew Levi Malone; grandparents, Roger and Martha Cosby, Aunt and Uncles: Melanie (Cardell) Chambers, Katessa Cosby, Rusty (Maria) Cosby, Bo (Monalee) Cosby, Shirley Rikard, Marie Edwards, Juanita Smith, Barbara Smith, Joyce McDade, Melissa (Kelvin) Ruhl, Byron Causey, Evan (Tracey) Causey, Alex (Stacy) Causey, Kent (Erica) Causey, Danielle Causey, Suzanne (Jay) Schwalbach; Special friends: Samantha Scott, Tristan Miller, Tiffany Ward, Matt Mullens; two special adopted nephews: Levi and Dawson Mullens; special cousins: Beth Keeton and Eugene Smith. She also leaves numerous cousins and a host of other family and friends. Alana's family would like to thank the staff of 4th Floor Neurological Critical Care Unit at Riverside Methodist Hospital for all of their hard work that they had done to take care of Alana. Funeral services will be held at 4pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Reverand Lewis McCarter officiating and burial in the Corinth Cemetery to follow.
